Dear All,

It would be pleasure if you could visit the on going display at CAG (Library) by the First year students of architecture class. Please find the attachments (E-invite and work description). . Today we had some students from Computer Science and EE department, they took a lot of interest in the sculptures and art works. These kind of displays/activities always give curiosity to students for visual art and mechanism of 3D art forms. Here is the link of the album at FB gallery page;

A brief for this display;

*MURALS AND KINETIC SCULPTURES*

Foundation Studio is a key course for foundation year in bachelor of architecture. This course has developed confidence, communication, and tools of expression, time management and critical thinking. It was a great experience to polish and practice the skills of students in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional studies focusing on Art and Design.

*MURAL (CITYSCAPE):*

Foundation course for a year and the last final project was to make a collage in-group of four or five fellows each. Topic of the collage was to make cityscape collage focusing major on the hometown architecture of each individual student within the group. Presenting architecture from past to present living. They basically have to depict the transition of rural life and architecture to urban life and architecture with the passage of time.

Each have created a particular theme for their mural and executed their ideas very finely by neither simplifying nor complicating their task, using multiple materials, properties and elements of art.

*KINETIC/MECHANICAL SCULPTURES**:*

Foundation studio course in 1st semester and 2nd semester consisted of art, design and 3d (6 credit hour) classes. 3-dimensional class is in which they studied 3-dimensional objective and non-objective forms by using multiple materials and had a great learning experience.

By the end of this course each individual was given an assignment of making mechanical or kinetic sculptures which could be replicated or self-created. Every First year architecture student has performed an excellent job thus producing mechanical and kinetic sculptures using multiple numbers of materials and experiencing outdoors working and market rates.
