The International Office under its virtual French Information Center organized the second workshop on “How to study in France” on April 23, 2018 from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm in G/6. The event was held in collaboration with the French Embassy in Islamabad. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Taha Jamil from French Embassy. On his arrival, Mr. Jamil was warmly greeted by the officials of International Office.
The French Information Center launched on April 19, 2017 is a joint venture of CIIT and French Embassy in Islamabad which enables CIIT’s students to meet officials from French Embassy once or twice a month to get free of cost information and advice about the prospects of studying in France. The workshop started with basic introductions and was followed by a comprehensive and detailed presentation on “Study in France” by Mr. Jamil which was warmly received by the students. Around twenty students attended the talk.
The presentation was followed by Q&A session. It was informed that it is possible to do higher studies in France in the English language and there are generally no tuition fees. Furthermore, students are allowed to work part time to finance the living expenses. The one hour presentation was quite interesting and kept the participants fully engaged.
Pens were also distributed by Mr. Jamil among all attending audience which were well received with much delight.
The workshop ended with a group photograph and Mr. Taha left at 1.00 pm after expressing his satisfaction about the level of interest generated by the event.
