A two-member delegation
from the International Office of the University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus
(UNMC) undertook a planned visit CIIT campuses in Lahore on February 6th
and Islamabad on February 8th 2018. The purpose was to promote its summer
programs
to
the youthful students of CIIT. The visitors were Ms. Prem Minder, Head of
International Student Support.and Ms. Anushia Thamotharem, Student Support
Officer.
The visitors were warmly welcomed by the
International office which arranged their brief meeting with the Rector. The
Rector welcomed them to the campus and briefly highlighted about the very
vibrant internationalization agenda of the Institute linking it to the renowned
universities in different countries including Malaysia. The meeting ended on an
upbeat note with a mutual desire to continue the engagement further and
exchange of souvenirs.
Afterward the delegates had a detailed
hour-long session with the students at the Video Conference Room of the Junaid
Zaidi Library. They briefed the students about the opportunities available
at UNMC. Those CIIT students who had previously participated in the summer
schools of UNMC also spoke to the students and shared their experiences with
them.
UNMC officials thanked the International
Office of CIIT for hosting them and giving them an opportunity to directly
speak to our students and answer their numerous queries. They left on an upbeat
note.
