Objective:

The objective of this exhibition on " Innovative Biomedical Devices and Healthcare Solutions " is to highlight the role of modern-day tools and equipment, which are commercially available, or developed as prototypes for commercialization. This international exhibition will bring a unique platform for innovators, technology developers and service providers, who are eager and ready to share experience and professional skills with participants of common interests in science, technology and innovation. 

 

The international exhibition is designed to project technologies and innovations in the realm of biomedical engineering and healthcare services. It is a showcasing of next generation technologies, solutions and strategies from all over Pakistan and OIC Countries, and an opportunity to explore and discover the practical and successful implementation of such technologies in healthcare sector. The exhibition will incorporate meetings between potential end users and commercial partners with R&D professionals and scientists.

Registration Fee:
A nominal registration fee of Rs. 5,000 will be charged from all the exhibitors. COMSTECH will cover the cost of accommodation, food, and exhibition space for selected exhibitors. No registration fee will be charged from participants or visitors.


Travel & Local Hospitality:
ICCBS, Karachi will arrange local hospitality for all selected exhibitors. No travel support will be provided to exhibitors and participants. All exhibitors/participants are expected to get their travel funding from their parent organizations/country of origin.


Registration Process:  

Step 1: Open online registration form, www.comstech.org/biomedical-exhibit-2021 

Step 2: Read instructions in the application form carefully and submit a properly filled form along with your CV. Foreign participants must submit a scanned copy of passport. 

Step 3: Selected exhibitors will be notified through email; hence, applicants are required to check their emails regularly.  

 

Venue:  

The exhibition will be held at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), Karachi (www.iccs.edu), in the business hub of Karachi, the largest city of Pakistan along the beautiful coast of Arabian Sea. 

  
In this context, it requested to please disseminate the same among the faculty members of your campus and submit nominations along with all required documents to this office till August 05, 2021, through the Director of Concerned Campus for further processing.

4th Semester students of the B.Des program put their photographic works on display at the Department of Architecture & Design. The Photography exhibition is based on a class assignment where the class was divided into groups and each group was tasked with a different topic. The class picked the site of Saidpur Village and covered varying subjects that included editorial/documentation, dramatization of a story, capturing abstract shapes and forms at the site and doing a product based fashion shoot. Students used many compositional and photographic styles to test their skills and visualize different ideas.

The exhibition has been visited by many faculty members and students. The pictures will be on display from 14th May to 18th May 2018. All students and respected faculty members are invited to visit the display.

COMSATS Art Gallery organized exhibition of calligraphy displaying art work of students on 20th February, 2018. This exhibition was held as an outcome of the workshop given by Ustaad Khurshid Gohar Qalam from 13th February - 20th February, 2018. Almost 50 students participated in the exhibition and produced one calligraphy piece each which was exhibited as part of the exhibition. 

This workshop was organized by department of Architecture and Design, CIIT Islamabad. The head of department of Architecture appreciated the students for taking keen interest in learning the art of calligraphy from Ustaad Gohar Qalam and said this dying art needs to get revived. 

Ustaad Khurshid Gohar Qalam was present at the event and motivated students for the work they produced, the event was attended by people from all walks of life. The work of students produced in the workshop was admired by everyone. 

The chief guest of the event was Dr. Professor Raheel Qamar who appreciated the efforts of the gallery and motivated students for their work. He was thankful to Ustaad Gohar Qalam for taking out time from his busy schedule to give workshop at COMSATS University Islamabad. The exhibition continued till 27th February, 2018.
