A training session for “Handling the Online Project Monitoring & Evaluation System (PMES) 2018-19” was held at COMSATS University Islamabad, on Sep. 7, 2018. The training session was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), Government of Pakistan, Islamabad in collaboration with Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad (MPDR).
The purpose of the session was to train participants on the latest version of PMES where information related to the developmental projects are managed online. The training was conducted by Mr. Shahzad Siddique, Hardware Engineer & Mr. Arshad Munir, Data Processing Officer of the MPDR.
The session started with a welcome note by Mr. Noman Nazir Awan, Asst. Electronics Advisor, MoST. It was followed by formal presentation of Mr. Arshad Munir who explained the PMES use and its applications. Mr. Shahzad Siddique briefed about different processes involved in updating the releases, monthly progress reports, cash and workplans, etc. The participants were provided opportunity for hands on training and update their cash/work plans in the PMES.
A good number of participants attended the training coming from different Government organizations. Finally, Mr. Noman Nazir Awan, focal person of MoST appreciated the conduct of training session, acknowledged and thanked the COMSATS University Islamabad for providing facilitation for the training.
The training was coordinated by the Directorate of Planning, Development and Human Resource Development, COMSATS University Islamabad.
