The French Embassy in Islamabad extended to the International Office a generous fully paid visit to the French universities last December to develop mutually beneficial collaborative linkages with them. From the International Office Ms. Samira Shah, Senior Program Officer was nominated to undertake the visit from December 13-23, 2017.  During her stay in France she visited ESIEE; EPF; University Paris 1; Pantheon Sorbonne and Chamber of Commerce, Paris.

The visit was aimed to strengthen CIIT's cooperation with the above institutions with active support from the French Embassy, Islamabad. The dialog with these institutions can be traced back to when a large delegation of academics had visited Islamabad campus in March 2017 under the aegis of the French Embassy and the HEC.

Most of the objectives of the visit namely solidifying professional linkages with the French institutions with specific actionable milestones to be achieved in 2018 were adequately met, besides the personal and professional development of the visiting officer.

The major accomplishments of the visit included signing of Intent of Cooperation between CIIT and EPF, finalizing IOC between CIIT and EESIE; partnership with Chamber of Commerce in Paris and projection of CIIT’s logo on its website; subsidized rates for two summer schools in EPF and EESIE; fee waiver for CIIT students by EPF; and 20% fee reduction by EESIE.
