10 or more publications in impact journals in a calendar year
In any educational institutional, rapid progression in academic research output is indicative of its scholastic progress/achievement and is representative of a spirited and determined group of researchers and faculty at work. In order to encourage faculty members to further enhance his/her activity at CIIT the following policy provides support to them to further their research related activities.
“Any employee (faculty/Staff) of COMSATS Institute Of information Technology who publishes 10 or more research publications in impact factor journals in a calendar year out of which she/he is a first or corresponding author at least 5 research publications, will be awarded PKR 3, 00,000/- as research grant ion order to enhance and support his/her ongoing scholastic/research activities as per his/her requirement. In addition, he/she may also be granted an additional increment on the basis of his/her performance.
*if faculty members share a publication either as first author or corresponding author, then the corresponding author can only apply for the said award. If the last corresponding author does not want to apply for the said award then the first author or shared corresponding author of the paper can apply after getting consent from the last corresponding author.
PROMOTION OF RESEARCH GRANTS
A- DURATION :
Up to 3 years
B- FINANCIAL ASSITANT
The principal applicant is allowed to purchase one or two pieces of equipment.
Travel within the country is allowed, for project related activities.
As per the requirement of principle investigator (PI)
F- RESEACH ACTIVITY
Any other research related activity that the PI deems necessary
PI will have full financial authority to use the funds under any head that he wishes to, as long as PPRA rules are complied with
Important documents given below are necessary to be provided along with the application form:
- First page of the publication on the basis of which the award is claimed.
- Consent letter where needed.
