The European Organization for Nuclear Research calls candidates to apply for the Short Term Internship 2020 in Switzerland. The internship can be a month-long in minimum and up to six months in maximum. This is the opportunity for undergraduate in the technical or administrative fields who wants to spend a few months training “on-the-job”. Moreover, this internship at CERN is the platform for students to explore and collect experience with the organization that operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world.
The European Organization for Nuclear Research (also known as CERN) is the European research organization. It operates the largest Particles Physics laboratory in the world. This 1954 established organization has 23 member countries altogether. Using the world’s largest and most complex scientific instruments, scientists of CERN studies basic constituents of matter – fundamental particles that collide together at close to the speed of light. In general, CERN’s main function is to provide the particle accelerators and other infrastructure for high-energy physics research. And as a result, numerous experiments have been constructed at CERN through international collaborations.
The interns will receive a monthly allowance of 1,510 Swiss Francs.
