Advisory Board Meeting of the China Study Center, COMSATS University Islamabad 3rd September, 2019

An Advisory Board of China Study Center (CSC) of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Pakistan was constituted in year 2013 to provide strategic guidance to the CSC with a view to leveraging it as a premier entity pertaining to Pak China relationships in academic and cultural fields. The board assumes special significance since it comprises of eminent personalities both from Pakistan and China.

th Advisory Board Meeting was held in Lahore on 3rd September 2019. Members of Advisory Board and Chinese universities alumni of CUI Lahore campus participated in the meeting. Mr. Ali Tawab Baloch Incharge China Study Center, briefed the members about the activities carried out by CSC.
Dr. Aamir Daar, President, Chinese Universities Alumni Association pointed out that China Study Center should also promote the Chinese culture and Chinese way of life. He also suggested to organize moon cake festival of China at CUI.

Mr. Fu Jun, member of Advisory Board of CSC emphasised on the importance of introducing a large number of Chinese language courses to benefit maximum number of students of CUI and others. He also ensured to provide his full support to the China Study Center at the CUI.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Asif, one of the senior Chinese University Alumni Associate suggested that all the information about the Chinese delegation visiting CUI, upcoming collaborative research opportunities and Chinese Scholarships opportunities should be communicated in all the campuses to get the maximum benefits.   

It was mutually agreed that a chapter of China Study Center will be started in all campuses of CUI. It was also decided to organize an annual grand meeting of Chinese Universities Alumni. The interaction proved to be very useful and ended with presentation of souvenirs to the participant.
