A Talk on "Identifying Research Gap for Scholarship Proposals” was held at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Attock Campus on July 17, 2019 at 10:00 am. The talk is part of seminar series, organized under the program “Information Seminars for Higher Studies Abroad” with the objective to educate and orient CUI prospective candidates with respect to selecting, financing and applying for higher studies abroad.
The purpose of the session was to educate the faculty members and students on the importance of finding research gap in writing research proposals/papers. Dr. Khawaja Fawad Latif from the Attock campus shared his experiences and views on the issue.
Dr. Khawaja Fawad Latif received his PhD from Abasyn University and a Master’s degree from University of Westminster, UK. He is an active researcher and a reviewer of a number of research Journals. Currently he is Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Science, COMSATS University Islamabad, Attock Campus. Previously he has worked at the City University of Science and Information Technology and Abasyn University.
The session started with the importance of identifying a research gap and on how to search for research gap. The speaker also discussed on the format of the Introduction Section and later explained in detail on how to develop a research framework. A copy of the presentation is uploaded at the CUI blogs.
A good number of participants attended the session and keenly paid attention to the talk. The audience acknowledged the usefulness of the information provided by the speaker.
The talk was organized by Directorate of Planning, Development and Human Resource Development in collaboration with the CUI, Attock Campus.
