A seminar on "Higher Education Opportunities in South Korea” was held at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Attock Campus on October 6, 2019. The seminar is part of seminar series, organized under the program “Information Seminars for Higher Studies Abroad” with the objective to educate and orient CUI prospective candidates with respect to selecting, financing and applying for higher studies abroad.
The purpose of the seminar was to educate the young faculty members and students on higher education opportunities in South Korea. The seminar was conducted by Dr. Inayat Ullah from the Department of Management Science, Attock Campus.
Dr. Inayat Ullah received his PhD from Korea Development Institute, School of Public Policy and Management, South Korea. He has an M.Phil in Finance from University of Malakand, Pakistan, a Post Graduate Diploma in Disaster Management and an MBA from University of Peshawar, Pakistan. He is an active researcher and has attended many international conferences. Currently he is with the COMSATS University Islamabad, Attock Campus. Previously he has taught at the University of Peshawar.
The session provided information on leading South Korean Universities and the scholarship opportunities available in South Korea. The speaker emphasized on the importance of Statement of Purpose and why it is necessary to have an attractive research proposal. He also discussed on how to seek for supervisors and PhD funding. Faculty members including research assistants and students participated in the session. The participants acknowledged the usefulness of the session. The talk was organized by Directorate of Planning, Development and Human Resource Development in collaboration with the CUI, Attock Campus.
