China Study Centre, COMSATS University Islamabad and Asian Institute of Eco-civilization Research and Development (AIERD) are launching a comprehensive campaign to highlight the importance and depth of Pak- China brotherhood.

The objective of the competition is to enhance understanding of China among youth and to create a pool of young people who can lead future discourse on Pak- China relations.

Celebrating the 70 years of Pakistan- China brotherhood, the first activity of the campaign is to launch a ‘Policy Brief’ writing competition.


This competition will be organized in four phases having four different themes;


  • Governance system of China (1st Sep 2021 to 1st Oct-2021)
  • Economic and Development System of China (1st Oct 2021 to 1st Nov 2021)
  • Culture of China (1st Nov 2021 to 1st Dec 2021)
  • China in New Era (1st Dec 2021 to 1st Jan 2022)


Entries should be submitted through email to both and before deadline of each phase. Entries are required to be submitted on standard template designed for competition. Top 3 winners for each phase will be given certificates of appreciation and cash prizes of 20,000, 15,000 and 10,000.

Centre for Climate Research and Development (CCRD), COMSATS University Islamabad in collaboration of Pakistan Nuclear Society (PNS) and other partner organizations, organized a research poster competition in two-day Conference on “Water Problems in Pakistan and their Solutions” on 15-16 April 2019. The event was held at Islamabad hotel, Islamabad. Different researchers, faculty/staff and students participated in said event. There was three best researcher poster awarded and the selected winners got cash prizes along with Certificates.

Dr. Muhammad Abid from CCRD got first position, Junaid Ali Khattak, PhD Scholar from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, got second position and Ishtiaque Hussain, PhD scholar also from Quaid i Azam university Islamabad got third position

The Centre for Policy Studies, CUI, Islamabad celebrated International Women Day at CUI, Islamabad campus on March 6, 2019. A Poster competition was organized at Junaid Zaidi Library, CUI, Islamabad. The Slogan of the event was “Balance for Better”.

The Students of Youngistan Society displayed posters with the aim to create awareness about the topic. Their posters images showed that a balanced world is a better world and how we can help forge a more gender-balanced world.

Ms. Siv Kaspersen, Chargé d’ affaires, a,i. Royal Norwegian Embassy and H.E. Ms. Ingrid Johansson, Ambassador of Sweden viewed the posters and appreciated the efforts of the students.

Later, on March 14, 2019 a Committee comprised of the following CUI Officials reviewed eight posters to select the top three:
