The International Office CUI and British Council jointly organized the UK Study Week from 15-19 November, 2021. The Study UK Week celebrated higher education in the UK offering students an exclusive opportunity to learn about the culture, students’ lifestyle and what leading universities have to offer in the UK. The week was celebrated across Pakistan at multiple host campuses. As their valued partner, the British Council extended this invitation to COMSATS University Islamabad as well to host the Study UK Week.

The UK Study week was led by student ambassadors from CUI. Various activities conducted by students ambassadors included placement/distribution of Study UK Week promotional material on campus: posters, flyers and drop-down banners/standees. These students will also receive certificates from the British Council, Islamabad. Their role as ambassadors for the Study UK programme not only was a great learning experience and an opportunity to represent a global brand, but also added immense value to their profile for international higher education opportunities.

The UK Study Week culminated in the video screening of UK universities. This activity was held on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 10.00 am to 11.00 am in the videoconference room, Junaid Zaidi Library.

The session was full of students of various semesters from all the departments of CUI. A promotional video was played which encompassed top UK universities, subjects offered, rankings and scholarship opportunities. It is worth mentioning that the video was tailor made for Pakistani students.

In the end of the session, Head IO, Mr. Ali Tawab Baloch, thanked the British Council for arranging this event for the students. He motivated the students to benefit from these scholarship opportunities and encouraged them to visit the International Office website and other social media handles regularly, where such opportunities are uploaded on daily basis. He assured them of full facilitation and guidance from his office. He also appreciated the IEEE student society for helping to organize this successful event.
