A successful webinar event was held on February 15, 2017 between Belarus State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) on the topic “Simulating the optimization of energy consumption in homes.” Heading the webinar from BSUIR was Victor R. Stempitsky, Head of CAD Laboratory, Department of Micro and Nanoelectronics, while on CIIT side it was facilitated by Dr. Nadeem Javaid, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Ms. Zainab Ali from International Office. Graduate students from both electrical engineering and computer science department were at the learning end who listened to the presentation by Professor Viktor on a mutually agreed topic. A brief presentation was shared over the webinar to help explain the subject matter with advancements at BSUIR and CIIT which was followed by a brief question answer session from students.

The advantages of hosting this webinar were numerous and one of the most important ones was the exchange of information and knowledge sharing to a wide spread audience over a video conference call which is the most d and cost effective way of knowledge exchange. This webinar was very beneficial for CIIT professionals and students who benefited from the expertise at BSUIR.
