On behalf of the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS), I have the pleasure in extending to you my greetings and best wishes.

 It may kindly be noted that the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) have announced ‘The IsDB-TWAS Joint Research & Technology Transfer Grant programme’ for the technologists and researchers belonging to IsDB Member Countries. The aforementioned Programme is designed to support and promote R&D response research on key challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as to develop collaboration between researchers of IsDB member countries. From amongst COMSATS’ member countries the following are eligible: Bangladesh, Egypt, Gambia, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Palestine, Pakistan, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda, and Yemen.
