Inception
I remember being sitting at the NCA canteen at the start of the last term, initiating a topic of a thesis that was ridiculed by almost everyone listening to it or they simply laughed and enjoyed as their interpretation was a bit hilarious.
The need
The political scenario of our country, the system, judiciary, economics, education and health, all are on the level of a disaster. The credit goes to the political leaders and more on the people of the country, choosing them again and again. The most demanding need of today is the accountability of the leaders at a public gathering by the public and not only mere in courts where the fate of the case is maneuvered by our capable law professionals. The public is not aware of the case proceedings and thus the verdict is void of any such influence for justice.
By the people, for the people, of the people…………..
Imagine a trial of a dictator is being held for a week or so, and people returning home to their homes in the evening can visit the facility to see the highlights of the day’s proceedings and through a system can cast their vote of expression in a perpetual process that leads to the actual outcome as a verdict.
I recall seeing the movie ‘Gladiator’ in which the rebellious General Maximus fights the Roman King’s best warrior at Colosseum. The public voting came into play and the King was destined to consider the public’s expression at the event.
Objectives Outlines for society
There is a need of a space for mass gathering that has the entire required infrastructure. It shall serve to several objectives to be established and catered for. The prime one is the people expression, processions, political, religious gathering, social events, Eid/ Friday prayers, public exhibitions etc.
Objectives of the Thesis
There are many challenges faced as a planner/ architect trying to visualize such a facility for a mass gathering with thousand of people.

Demand & Supply of Services
Security & Administration
Micro Climate Control & Quality
Hazard & Emergencies
Waste Collection & Management System
Food Dispensing

The above mentioned are such issues to be handled in an optimized way. Establishing appropriate numbers of usage for every category of an issue and proposing trial and tested architectural solutions through case studies would be the prime objective of the assignment.
