Title: Quantum Game Theory - An Introduction
Venue: Seminar room, Academic Block I
Date: Sep 12, 2012 (Wednesday)
Time: 2:00 pm

Abstract:
Quantum games theory is a little more than a decade old now. It began from the seminal paper of David Meyer (Phys. Rev. Lett. 82 (1999) 2543.). Since then hundreds of papers have been published and many people have won their phd in this field. It deals with mathematical modeling of quantization schemes of the existing classical games and also about its applications and utilization in constructing various protocols of quantum computation and quantum information theory. In this talk I will try to introduce the audience with the very basic concepts of both classical games theory and quantum games theory.

Important Notice: Make sure you and your research students don't miss it. Tea and cookies will be served, as usual, at the end of the seminar, where a lively discussion may follow.
