The Endowment Fund was established with the aim to make CUI self-sustainable and give it greater financial autonomy. The Fund’s mission is to build a substantial asset base, the income from which will ensure seamless running of CUI affairs for achieving its stated goals.
The Endowment Fund is registered under the Trust Act of 1882 and approved by the Income Tax authorities as a “non-profit organization” under section 2(36) of the Income Tax Ordinance of 2001.
We value, and remain committed to, ‘honesty’ in all our dealings, ‘respect’ for our colleagues and ‘tolerance’ to opposing opinions. We take ‘responsibility’ for our actions and are fully ‘accountable’ for our decisions, while ‘caring’ for the less fortunate segments of society.
The Endowment is a Trust Fund, the income from which, but not its principal investment, can be expended. Such Trust Funds are widely acknowledged as being the basic tools for development and progress internationally. Keeping in mind an endowment’s basic definition, one can imagine the need for such a fund in a developing country like Pakistan.
Taking its cue from leading institutions of higher learning in the West, CUI took the initiative as its first step towards consolidation and advancement, by establishing its Endowment Fund. Now, the time has come to fortify it.
The Endowment Fund is a “Labor of Love.” Contributing to the Fund could be your way of saying “Thank you” and acknowledging the series of successes CUI has been blessed with in its short journey so far.
If you are one of our recent graduates, contributing to the Fund would signal your gratitude towards your alma mater that helped propel you towards your destination, playing a pivotal role in shaping your destiny. Or you may be a seasoned professional who is now placed at the pinnacle of the corporate hierarchy and acutely aware of your responsibility to contribute and give back to the society from which you have received so much.
