Dr. Muhammad Imran completed his MS and PhD in Environmental Hydrogeology from Department of Earth Sciences (Geosciences), Utrecht University, Netherlands. He joined department of Earth Sciences, COMSATS Abbottabad in 2013 and then moved to Department of Environmental Sciences, COMSATS Vehari in early 2015. Currently, he is principal investigator of two research projects, "Column Scale Experimental Study on Thermohaline Convection in Saturated Porous Media" and "Comparative Study on Removal of Iron and Arsenic from Groundwater Using Iron-oxide Coated Sedimentary Rocks".
His research interests are: Groundwater management and its modeling, groundwater recharge and its associated contamination, application of environment friendly and low cost biosorbents for treatment of contaminated water, density dependent mass and heat flow in saturated and unsaturated porous media, geothermal energy.
