Biography:

Dr. Muhammad Akram did  PhD in Mechanics of Materials, Department of Mechanical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. His first degree was B.Sc Engineering from University of Engineering and technology Lahore,Pakistan. He worked for about 6 years in automotive sector as QA Manager  before joining academia in 2008. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor  at Department of Mechanical Engineering, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology. His areas of specialization include  manufacturing Engineering , Adhesive bonding , Surface Science and Engineering , Automotive Engineering ,Corrosion & protection, environmental degradation of materials, synthesis & characterization of micro- and nano- metal and polymer based composite materials and structure-property relationships in materials. He is also supervising a research projects of DICE Automotive foundation USA  for indigenous manufacturing of car in Pakistan.  
Dr. Muhammad Akram  has published a number of papers in international journals and presented his work at various national and international conferences.​
