Dr Junaid Ali is currently a postdoctoral researcher at National Graphene Institute, School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Manchester, UK. He is working on the liquid assisted and electrochemical exfoliation of 2D materials, solution processable inks for printed flexible electronics.
He joined Department of Physics, COMSATS University, Islamabad as a lecturer in Feb 2006. He has been involved in teaching at Undergraduate courses and other administrative responsibilities. During his MS Thesis at Department of Physics CIIT (2007-09), under the supervision of Professor Dr Arshad Saleem Bhatti, he studied synthesis mechanisms for controlled growth of silicon core silica shell nanowires. He also worked in Sentaurus TCAD a Process and Device Simulation platform.
He graduated with a PhD(2016) under supervision of Professor Kyung-Hyun Choi Advanced MicroMechatronics (AMM) Lab, Jeju National University, South Korea. He has worked in Printed Electronics, additive manufacturing 3D printing. Moreover, he has experience of synthesis, characterization and processing of 0-2D Nanomaterial for sensing, resistive switching and optical/photonic applications.
Currently, he is serving Department of Physics as Assistant Professor.
