MS in Health Informatics

Multidisciplinary Health Informatics Program is to develop health care systems as information environments." A useful model of the emergence of informatics is to consider different roles of clinicians, management and IT services in health care. Health Informatics is the science of information management in healthcare and its application to support clinical practice, decision-making and research. Health Informatics is a body of knowledge and a set of techniques to organize and manage information in support of research, education and patient care.

The Health Informatics Master's Degree program is designed to deliver advanced training in informatics to health care professionals who want to redirect their careers to become health informatics researchers, as well as those who are interested in integrating health informatics expertise in their current professional roles. This program is likely to appeal to the so- called early adopters within the health care environment, health professionals involved in system implementation and individuals with an interest in conducting related research

As with the technology that people use every day, telephone, email, Internet, mobile technology. Health information exchange is not a one-size-fits-all Concept. Recognizes that different providers will have different uses for health information exchange. The standards and specifications supporting those needs are being developed and harmonized within CUI Science & Technology of solutions. Standards and specifications that support interoperability and ensuring that they can be assembled into solutions for a variety of health information exchange scenarios. Support to on-the-ground implementers in assembling standards and policy building blocks to solve providers, most pressing information exchange needs are a key component to ensuring success. As early implementations produce results, disseminating and spreading the information exchange solutions will ensure that a wide array of implementation guidance is available to providers looking to engage in health information exchange


The work promoting the adoption and uptake of health information is key to ensuring the goals but work being done to ensure that the technical standards and specifications are in place to support this technology is also critical to the development and success of a fully functional nationwide health IT ecosystem. It is engaged in working on the development and harmonization of domestic health IT standards, and also interfaces with health IT organizations in the international community to promote best practices and collaboration with other countries.

The Health Information is supporting innovative research to address well-documented problems that impede the adoption of health IT. The knowledge generated and innovations created from this program will accelerate progress toward the meaningful use of health IT and a high-performing, adaptive, nationwide health care system. The Strategic Health Informatics Research These collaborations are conducting breakthrough research to achieve tangible goals in their respective research areas over a Six-year period. Strategic Health Informatics advanced Research will be translated into patient-centered

The degree requirements

Include a mandatory research project / thesis, with a goal of producing work that may be published in peer-reviewed journals. Possibilities for projects will include research in areas such as disease management, human-computer interaction and interfaces, electronic medical record, HIPAA, telemedicine, standardized medical terminology and messaging systems, security of health care systems, and the privacy of patient data.

Entrance Requirements:

MB.B.S with one year house job and registered with P.M.D.C or B.D.S with one year house job and registered with P.M.D.C or Pham .D or B. Pharmacy with one year intern/job in Hospital /Pharmaceutical Industry registered with P.C.P Allied Health Professional. BS Nursing registered with PNC (16 years of education with 60% marks). With NTS test GAT is 50% marks require.

For International Students TOFEL and IELTS or GRE (General) Scholarship available for International Students with state members countries, OIC, COMSATS, ISESCO.
