From its very inception, the R & D Division (currently ORIC) at CIIT has earned approximately Rs.100 to 150 million yearly in research related activities from various donor agencies, especially Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Science Foundation. A number of research projects prepared by various faculty members are under process with the National ICT R&D Fund. In addition to funding from other sources, CIIT herself contributes its own resources for the promotion of research and development.
